The past week until now I've been having trouble sleeping..
Kept having these vivid dreams which often involve anger, then the yearn to get to something, before turning left and waking up screaming... Sucks...
It's not the dreams that frustrate me, it's the feeling of haziness the few minutes after waking up that annoys me.
Today, I almost missed my appointment at nee soon at 1000 because I woke up AT 1000...
And when I reached the guardhouse, I kinda stoned a bit, trying to overcome what is real and what was in my dream.
Argh..
My head hurts like fuck now... All thanks to rushing to nee soon, then to sembawang medical center.
Tomorrow, I have to report to CMPB *again* to get my visa and then rush to the Thai Embassy by 1115 to send in my visa.
Following that, I have to send several documents to my unit at nee soon...
Hopefully, no more vivid dreams tonight... Especially not dreams about her.. whenever such dreams come, she's always in pain and I can't get to her.. argh..
Since I'm going to a malaria-prevalent area for the next 1 yr plus, I either have to take 2 tabs of Mefloquine every week or 1 capsule of Doxycycline every day.
FYI, both are malaria prophylaxis a.k.a. anti-malarial drugs (remember, anti-malarial, not malaria vaccine..)
Being around medicines since July, I've always learnt to look up the side-effects before consuming them...
Mefloquine
Mefloquine may have
severe and permanent adverse side-effects. It is known to cause
severe depression, anxiety, paranoia, aggression, nightmares, insomnia, seizures, birth defects, peripheral motor-sensory neuropathy,[2] vestibular (balance) damage and central nervous system problems. For a complete list of adverse physical and psychological effects — including
suicidal ideation — see the most recent product information.
Doxycycline
Side effects from tetracyclines are not always common, but of particular note is possible photosensitive allergic reaction which
increases the risk of sunburn under exposure to UV light from the sun or other sources.
They may cause stomach or bowel upsets, and rarely allergic reactions. Very rarely severe headache and vision problems may be signs of dangerous secondary intracranial hypertension.
Judging from that info, I'd rather stick with 1 capsule of Doxycycline per day than 2 tabs of Mef per week...
I don't need drugs to give me vivid, weird dreams because I already have them.. haha
