Bossa Nova Soothes The Soul

It's 1.30am in the morning and am listening to my old Bossa Nova songs (which I was a fan of b4 making the switch to pop after listening to 91.3).
And my opinion of Bossa Nova, just one: Soothing.
It's been a hectic start to February, the whole of last week filled with outings culminating into the "biggest" which was St. Valentine's Day Massacre at Bee-One Club at The Marriott Hotel.
I won't divulge much on the "biggest" event of the week other than that I was ps by my guys.. zzz, thx dudes... Didn't happen on the "other side" though... Once again, thx dudes...
Being a Monday I had to get out, organized some employment stuff of ours (ours being the usual 4 of us, ws,gladys,wyn,me).
Took up the offer at Sim Lim.
And went on a walking spree... Walked from Paradiz to Sim Lim then walked back to The Cathay to watch Jumper.. Nice action flick with gay plot..
Seriously seriously gay plot la.. But the damn nice action sequences will drown you and make you forget of the damn gay plot..
After that my boredom nature got a hold of me so I had to drag the other 2 (ws,wyn) up to fort canning just to explore.
Fun 7-8km "trek" across. Took a few pics and I found out that a trip to the battlebox costs $8.. knn..
The Fort Canning Centre.. Damn Old Bldg, we thought we stumbled or "Jumped" into somewhere else..
The headstone marking the Brits tt passed away here.. Most date back to Mid-1800s. And the 3 of us foolishly walked all the way up to learn that the path is a DEAD-END.. darn
9-Pounder Cannon spotted near the peak of Fort Canning. Used to defend S'pore againstthe japs sea invasion.. hehe.. Judging from the state of the gun, it's most likely an OVER-PAINTED replica.. Paint on it was so thick that the cannon is "de-magnetized"

It's now 2am and am still listening to Bossa Nova songs (coz it's on loop),
in 2 mths time, it's been a year since this heart of mine bled, and it bleeds still..
But I shan't forget the words my buddy told me last sat: Better to have a good friend then to have lost a lover.
